From Chai Gatherings to Festive Feasts: Serving Boards with Meaning

The Small Moments That Keep Our Traditions Alive

Some things hold more than just purpose—they hold stories. In many South Asian homes, the kitchen is where traditions live. The scent of freshly ground spices, the sound of warm rotis puffing on the stove, the way elders pass down recipes not just in words but in the way their hands move. These moments are timeless, aren’t they? I grew up surrounded by these simple, yet profound experiences. My father, who’s always been so proud of his marwari (Rajasthani) roots, made sure our home and even our office reflected that heritage. I’ll never forget the jharokha overlooking the stairs in our Mumbai home—a piece straight out of Rajasthan. Those little touches of tradition stuck with me and inspired the work I do today.

My Kitchen & Dining collection - they’re not just boards or coasters; they’re a reminder of home, tradition and our culture. So, when I started designing the cutting and serving boards, I wanted them to reflect that same feeling—the sense of warmth, family, and culture. These boards aren’t just kitchen tools; they are meant to spark conversation and carry memories.

Handcrafted  South Asian-Inspired Serving Boards for Your Kitchen

There’s something about paisley patterns that feels so connected to our roots. Inspired by Bagru hand block printing from Rajasthan, this board celebrates that age-old craftsmanship. It’s made with marble and acacia wood, a beautiful combination of materials that brings out the intricate details of the paisley design. This piece is perfect for serving, but honestly, it’s just as stunning to look at, making it a great addition to your kitchen décor.
